井上陽水さんの曲「傘がない」をもじると、８月のお盆以降、このような状況だったが、数日前、スーパーに少し米が入荷していた。

２ｋｇの米のほうが、５ｋｇの米より先に売れるようだ。
高齢者には５ｋｇは重たいだろうし、他の買い物があると、さらに持ち帰るのに苦労するのだろう。

それに、一人暮らしだと５ｋｇの米を消費するのに日数もかかるので、夏場は風味が落ちる。

一方、普段ご飯を何倍もおかわりしている学生のいる家庭では、米不足にどう対処しているのだろう。

To paraphrase Inoue Yosui's song "I don't have an umbrella," it's been like this since the Obon festival in August, but a few day ago there was some rice in stock at the supermarket.

It seems that 2kg of rice sells before 5kg of rice. 5kg is heavy for elderly people, and if they have other shopping to do, they probably have a hard time carrying it home.

Also, if you live alone, it takes several days to consume 5kg of rice, so the flavor deteriorates in the summer.
