家康公の側室、養珠院（お万の方）に関連した寺院です。今の時期、境内でヒガンザクラが見ごろを迎えています。

Kannoji Temple

感應寺

Kannoji Temple is located in Komagata-dori district, Aoi Ward, Shizuoka City.

感應寺は静岡市葵区駒形通にあります。（駒形通という町名です）

It was the largest of the 13 Buddhist temples that Tokugawa Ieyasu relocated in Tera-machi district for military defense.

徳川家康が軍事的防御のため寺町に移した13の寺の中で一番大きな寺でした。

This Buddhist temple has been in the same location since then.

この寺院は当時から同じ場所にあります。

Kannoji Temple was first established in Fuji (the present Fuji City) in 852 as a Tendai sect temple.

は最初、富士（現在の富士市）に852年に天台宗の寺として開基されました。

現在の感應寺

In the Kamakura period, the temple's sect converted to Nichiren sect as teachings by Nichiren Shonin (Saint Nichiren) spread across Japan.

鎌倉時代、日蓮上人の教えが日本中に広まったことで、寺院の宗派は日蓮宗に変わりました。

Later, it was transferred near Sengen Shrine in Sumpu, then Tokugawa Ieyasu transfered it one more time in its present location.

後に、駿府の浅間神社の近くに移転しましたが、その時徳川家康が再度、現在の場所に移しました。

Yoju-in, Lord Ieyasu’s concubine, was an earnest follower of the Nichiren sect.

家康公の側室である養珠院は熱心な日蓮宗の信徒でした。

(On the other hand, Tokugawa Ieyasu was a follower of Jodo sect.)

（一方、徳川家康は浄土宗の信徒でした）

She was loved the most by Lord Leyasu in his later years and bore his 10th son, Yorinobu, and 11th son, Yorifusa.

彼女は家康公の晩年最も愛されており、10男の頼宜と11男の頼房を産みました。

So, this temple was backed by the Tokguawa family.

ですからこの寺院は徳川家に支援されています。

On the 100th day of Lord Ieyasu’s passing, Yoju-in performed the Buddhist practice of life release by releasing fish into a pond in this Buddhist temple to wish for her husband's peaceful rest.

家康公の百か日供養の日、養珠院は亡き夫の冥福を願い、この寺院で魚を池に放す、仏教の風習である放生会（ほうじょうえ）を行いました。

Unfortunately, this temple was damaged in WW2 and half of the premises was lost due to the city development.

残念なことにこの寺は第二次世界大戦で被害を受け、そして都市開発で敷地の半分を失いました。

The pond was rebuilt as a remainder of its historical connection with the Tokugawa family.

その池は徳川家との歴史的なつながりを忘れないようにと再建されました。

This season, visitors can view beautiful blooming ’Higanzakura’, early-flowering cherry blossoms, in the premises.

この時期、このお寺に来ると美しく咲いたヒガンザクラ（早く花を咲かせる桜）を見て楽しむことが出来ます。
