#13【ディミトリ×メルセデスB+】英語で支援会話｜家族とのおもひで【FE/ファイアーエムブレム風花雪月】
みなさん、こんにちは！さつきですー！
今回はディミトリ×メルセデスの支援会話B+です。
剣の訓練が楽しいメルセデス、針と糸がやっとまともに持てるようになったディミトリ。2人とも大きく進歩しました！（先生とっても嬉しい。涙）
今回はそんなディミトリ×メルセデスが家族との思い出を語ります。
２人はどんな家族とどんな幼少期を過ごしてきたのでしょうか？
２人の過去をちょっとだけ知れる支援会話です。
優しい気持ちで行ってみましょう～♪

メルセデスのセリフ2文目について少し解説をしましょう。
まず注目すべきはsuchとthatです。どこにあるかわからないって？じゃあカッコを付けてみましょう。
I have 【such】 a great time when you teach me 【that】 improving comes naturally!
suchとthatは次のように訳せます。
such+A（形容詞）+B（名詞）+that + 主語C + 動詞D
とてもAなBなのでCがDだ。（←なんか面白くなった笑）
これに当てはめて訳してみると…
あなたが教えてくれているときはとても楽しい時間なので、改善が自然にやってくるの（日本語らしくすると「自然と上達する」となるでしょうか）！
どうです？なんとなく言っていることわかりますよね？
英文を読むときはうまく日本語にできなくていいです。英語の意味がイメージできて言ってることがわかればそれでOK！

Mercedes: You're no bother at all! I like sewing with you. It reminds me of when I was young and my mother taught me how to sew. My mother would sit with my brother and me and we'd all sew together. Ah, I really miss it. Even though I was barely better than you when I started. Did your mother like to sew, Dimitri?

後ろから2文目について。
英語では「Even though I was barely better than you when I started.」とあり、「お裁縫を始めたころは、あなた（ディミトリ）よりちょっぴりうまかったくらいなのよ」的なことを言っているのですが、日本語版では「そう言えばあの子も、あまり器用じゃなかったわね～。」と、エミール（イエリッツァ）のことを話しています。うーん、なぜここに違いがあるんでしょうかね！！
Dimitri: My birth mother? From my father's accounts, she wasn't great at it either.
Mercedes: Oh, of course. I forgot that the queen of Faerghus passed away long ago.

ディミトリを産んだお母さまは早くに亡くなってしまっているんですよね。
流行病にかかって亡くなってしまったんだったかな？その流行病をしずめたのがあのコルネリアさんなんだよね。闇うごになる前のコルネリアってどんな人だったんだろうね？今の悪女の印象が強すぎて…ｗでも優秀な人だったんでしょ～。
それより、ディミトリの産みのお母さまはさぞ美しいお方だったのでしょうな～。ランベール（ディミトリのお父さん）は面食いっぽいしねぇｗ

Dimitri: Yes. I don't really remember what she was like. But I remember my stepmother...always sitting by the window, sewing away.
Mercedes: I'm sure she would have been happy to teach you if you had asked.

Mercedes: I'm so sorry, Dimitri. I didn't mean to bring up such difficult memories.

ディミトリは幼馴染のみんなと野山を駆け回って遊んだり、ギュズタヴに訓練つけてもらったりいろいろアクティブなことしてたんだろうなーっていうイメージあるよね～。
この幼馴染4人組ほんといいよね…。
メルセデスはエミールとお母さまと一緒にのんびりお裁縫をしながら過ごしたんだろうな～。お菓子作ったりさ。
女の子らしいな～～メーチェかわいいなぁ～～～（ほっこり）
