My father-in-law passed away two days after I returned from Japan.
I had the chance to see him and spend time with him before his passing. There’s always a reason for everything.

He had always been a supportive during my transition to the United States as a permanent resident and he often asked about my mother if she is doing ok. My mother and he met once when she visited us here, I cherish that memory.
I hope he is at peace now and reunited with my mother. As I prepare to head back to Japan again, I carry these memories with me, reflecting on the love and connections that endure beyond this life.
