英語の動詞「日本語が英語学習を邪魔する話」

英語には絶対に動詞が必要だと言った友人のことを今になって感謝している。中１の時に英語については自信があった。暗記が得意だったからである。だがあるテストで周囲と離される場面があった。それで問題集を買って解いてみたが難しかった。
A verb has to exist in the sentence written in English, which launched by one of the classmates, and this word fails to be absent from his brains from then on, she says.
When she was 14, she had not a few confidents to gain satisfactory results in English test because she could memorize numerous English vocabularies, she assumes.
One day, however, she recognized that several friends around her were superior to her when they took a test in English, in short, they could gain more desirable scores than she, which made her feel left behind from them, and she wanted to catch up with them by working on many questions included in the reference book, however, she found it challenging to write correct English sentences.

ある１人の友人が添削してくれた。その時に動詞がないと英文は成立しないと言った。当たり前なのだが日本語は動詞を省くことが多い。その習慣から英語にも動詞がなくてよいと考えがちになる。塾の生徒も動詞の位置が分からない者が複数いる。
A certain friend of the same class corrected her answers written in English, who told her something indispensable, her sentences lacked a verb, so they weren’t completed as a sentence in English, which brought home to her.
When we write a sentence in Japanese, we might omit a verb, but we might not be allowed to do so in the case of English, however, we find it challenging to adjust us to these grammatical rules because the language we use in our daily life prevents us from becoming accustomed to the foreign language we don’t use in our everyday life.
After all, we tend to omit a verb in English sentences.
Several students don’t have any abilities to locate a verb in the correct positions at our workplace, to their sorrow.

動詞の存在を無視してはいけないことが分かってからは英語のテストで苦労したことはない。難しい英単語も時間をかければ覚えられる。苦労するのは筆者の主張が分からない時だ。それは現代文を読むのも同じだ。普段から社会に興味があるかだ。
She could learn something important when she wrote an English sentence : she mustn’t ignore the existence of a verb, from then on, she didn’t have any experiences to find English difficult because she could learn numerous tough English vocabularies by heart, although it took a certain amount of time to memorize them, she assumes.
When we fail to capture what the author argues, we have difficulty understanding the contents of the passages.
This is true of the passages written in Japanese as well as in English, and when we want to overcome this, we should learn about what Japan suffers from, in short, we should be interested in various kinds of social problems.
