TV programs have intensive influences on senior citizens.

私の部屋にはテレビがない。テレビを観る機会がほぼないから。通勤中のカーナビではテレビをつけている。少し前は違法だった気がする。前方への注意が散漫になると事故になる。
TV sets are absent from my room because there are few opportunities to watch TV programs in recent years.
A notebook computer or a smartphone are available to watch various kinds of movies or videos at home, which has extremely satisfied us, but I watch TV programs with my car navigation system.
Such a behavior is illegal, so I must be careful not to be distracted into a screen while driving a car, otherwise this behavior would bring me to a critical situation.

部屋でテレビ番組を観るのはTBSの日曜劇場だけだ。前のクールなら「検察VS弁護士」だった。今回のクールは天才外科医の第２シーズンだ。あの帯だけは優秀なドラマが続いている。
Sometimes a certain drama series absorbs me into various mysterious scenes, which is “Sunday Theaters” on Tokyo Broadcast Station.
The previous series featured “a vicious prosecutor versus a capable lawyer,” which made me enjoy wondering whether the latter could win the former or not.
The current series features “a genius surgeon,” which is the second season of him, who is a member of “Arashi,” we remember.
In these golden hours, there have been tremendous numbers of masterpieces.

去年は工作員がモンゴルの砂漠を彷徨う場面から始まる壮大なスケールの連ドラもあった。テレビ局は大金をかけたらしい。出演者もストーリーも豪華で、最後まで気が抜けなかった。

受信チューナーを装備しないテレビも完売とのこと。それは若者が中心だ。見逃し配信サービスが見られるのでテレビ機能は必要ない。しかも選挙には行かないから、選挙特番も観ない。
We frequently hear that a TV set without any receiving tuners sells well, almost all of whose purchasers are young people who don’t have to own TV functions.
It is because they could watch various rebroadcasts on their tablets or smartphones.
In the first place, they have no motivation to participate in the election, so that they needn’t watch an election special program, we assume.
