危機感「痛い目に遭わないと芽生えない話」
受験生の時に使っていた参考書に書かれていた英文で単調な生活に我慢することを身につけなくてはならないとあったのを記憶している。つまり普段からわくわくするようなことばかりを求めるのは良くないという意味だ。当時は理解できなかった。
When we used an English reference book for intensive reading, something remarkable hit on our eyes, which read that we should gain ability to tolerate a monotonous daily life, whose expressions haven’t run away from our brains yet, in other words, we shouldn’t pursue what entertains us every day, which wasn’t understandable in those days because we didn’t have any experiences to capture what the author meant, an online article says.
わくわく感を非日常的なものと定義するならそれは単調な毎日に耐えたご褒美として存在する。ライブや観戦とか。新学期が始まると中学生は定期試験が近いので勉強に対する危機感が芽生える者もいる。親の側からしたらこどもが底辺なのは嫌だ。
Something entertaining us shouldn’t be daily necessities, in short, it should be the right reward when we endured several monotonous days : weekends or holidays, when we could enjoy live concerts, sports events and so on.
When the new semester starts, a few junior high school students become conscious of their studies because they must take their regular exams in several days.
It is natural that their parents cannot be proud of their children having no abilities to gain satisfactory scores.
中学生や高校生はテストの点数で人格が肯定されたり否定されたりする。学習塾としては生徒がバカ扱いされないように課題を押し付ける。強制なので生徒は嫌がる。だが逃げると近い将来もっと困ることになる。中学生にはそれが分からないのだ。
High school students cannot run away from the vertical hierarchy : their personalities should be denied when they cannot gain something positive in the examination perspectives, and vice versa, their personalities could be evaluated highly when they obtain something desirable.
Our cram school might impose a certain amount of the assignments on our students so that they wouldn’t be treated as someone incapable by numerous teachers.
It is natural that they dislike something compulsory, but they shouldn’t escape from what they must do because they would suffer from something even more challenging in the near future, which they cannot understand.
