はじめに

こんにちはー！イギリス育ちのお声がかかる自己紹介プロデューサーのさいちゃんです。わたしの「お声がかかる自己紹介」へのこだわりは、イギリスでの留学体験がベースにあります。

「お声がかかる自己紹介」を手に入れると、いいことだらけ！ということで、久しぶりに英語でスピーチを書いてみました。

Hi, My name is Saiko.
Yes, My name is "Saiko" spelled "S-A-I-K-O".

In Japanese, Saiko means "the best".
In English, Saiko sounds exactly like "Psycho" from the Alfred Hitchock movie.

So, when I moved to England aged 12 without being able to speak English very well, I had a unique experience.

I was, and still remain 4 foot 8 inches Japanese person. Teachers and friends were surprised when healing my name for the first time.

"Saiko!"

"Yes"

"You are Psycho? Really?"

"Yes my name is Saiko."

People soon remembered my name.

At that time I was very lucky because I am a curious person with love of learning and exploring but not so outgoing. I enjoyed my time in Art room, Reading room, and music room singing away.

But because of my unique name, friends had fun calling my name and I was able to make great friends quickly.

Self-introduction is not one of Japanese people's strengths because in Japan we do not need to introduce ourselves as frequently as in England, from my point of view.

Living in Japan, we have less opportunities to self introduce ourselves.

My dream from my childhood was to become a bridge between people, ideas and places. Now I spend my days supporting entrepreneurs in Japan struggling to introduce themselves in a friendly and relaxed manner.

So, although "Self-Introduction Producer" is not commonly heard job title, I have deliberately chosen this title.

Hopefully, after few years, more people will be able to to happily introduce themselves and explore their life opportunities.

I belive in the power of self introduction, because I belive in the infinite possiblities of individuals.

I do hope you will enjoy your time self-introducing.

Now, my name is even more powerful as I am now married and my name is "Daimon Saiko", sounds little bit like "Damon Psycho", but ironically, I am an individual who is passionate about bringing light to people's best qualities.

あとがき

ということで、久しぶりに英語で収録してみました。 15歳ぐらいから、国際ボランティア団体でイベントを企画・運営し、17歳ぐらいのときは、模擬国連にハマっていました。なので、そのときに、スピーチについて猛勉強して、猛特訓しました。

今年の5月までは、ホテルのバイリンガルコンシェルジュとしても働いていたので、英語をしゃべる機会があったのですが、最近は、さっぱり！という事で、またまた、気が向いたら、英語で音声配信していこっかなあと思います。
