Emergency situations commonly have three phases: an emergency phase, a recovery phase, and a reconstruction phase.
hello everyone.
Sai & Co. This is Sai & Co. from WAKU Challenge Lab.
Today, I would like to talk about "an emergency situation has three phases in common: an emergency phase, a recovery phase, and a recovery phase."
If you think this story was good, please share it😁
Now let's get down to business.
Well, everyone.
How many of you have encountered an emergency situation?
In terms of things that remain in my memory, I think there are some emergency situations that everyone remembers, such as the war in Russia and Ukraine, the heavy rains in western Japan, and the Great East Japan Earthquake.
About this emergency, most of them will recover someday.
Of course, there are still emergency situations, and how far will reconstruction go? The definition is also difficult in some places.
However, I noticed that there are three phases in common for any emergency situation.
In disaster recovery, experts have already defined these three phases, so I used them as a reference. I noticed it exists.
My workplace is a nursing home.
A new corona cluster occurred at the nursing home.
It hasn't converged yet, but it's gradually calming down.
The movement and work style of the staff from this series of outbreaks to calm down are exactly similar to these three phases.
Compared to the disaster, the sense of scale is completely different, but the events inside were almost the same as when I went to the evacuation center for disaster relief.
In other words, it's confusing at the first time, it's an emergency period.
The more I tested, the more positive people came out one after another. Based on my knowledge, I was focusing on preventing infection and spreading it.
Eventually, the cluster team from the public health center will come and teach the staff how to prevent infection.
The daily routine for the day is completely canceled to prevent new positives.
Provide only necessary care.
As many staff members have tested positive for the virus, manpower is declining.
In the final phase, the goods were filled, and the staff got used to the manualized infection control, and it gradually became a routine.
The staff who had been resting will also return, and they will be able to relax a little.
There are no new positive cases, and when the environment and resources are back to normal, it feels like 80% normal operation has returned.
I wrote it roughly today, but I introduced the phase from the beginning to the convergence like this.
how is it? this.
It's just like the phase from disaster to recovery.
The coronavirus cluster is also an emergency at our nursing home, and in the end, in a broad sense, all emergencies have these three phases in common.
In other words, if you use this phase, it will be easier to create a business continuity plan.
That's why today I talked about "Emergency situations always have an emergency period, an emergency period, a recovery period, and a reconstruction period."
