【解説】
　
この「疑情」というのは阿弥陀仏の本願に対する疑いのこと、つまり本願疑惑心（疑蓋）です。
　
自力で成仏や解脱ができない私たちのような衆生は、どうしようもなく六道輪廻をくり返しています。
　
そして、なぜ輪廻をくり返す（ふるさとへ還る）のかというと、それは疑情（本願疑惑心）が除かれていないからだ、というわけです。
　
浄土真宗の聞法者にとっては、この本願疑惑心が除かれたか否かが、極楽往生を決める最重要項目となります。
　
そして本願疑惑心が除かれたことを信（無疑）、まだ除かれていないことを未信（疑）とします。
　
聞法している者にとっては、自己の本願疑惑心が本当に除かれたかどうか、注意深く確認する必要があるということになります。
