K: I visited once, a few years ago. I went to Tokyo and Kyoto.

K: Definitely!
K： 千葉の生活はどうですか？
R： 千葉は東京に隣接していて、多くの人が通勤で東京に向かいますが、私はリモートで仕事をしているのでほとんど千葉にいます。千葉は東京より静かで住みやすいです。
K: How’s life in Chiba?
R: Chiba is next to Tokyo, and many people commute there. I work remotely, so I usually stay in Chiba. It’s quieter than Tokyo and very comfortable to live in.
K： 日本国内では他の場所に住んだことはありますか？
R： はい。大学卒業後、九州の大分に引っ越して2年間住みました。大分は温泉が有名で、日本で最も温泉の数が多い場所です。
K： 写真を見たことがありますが、これはその温泉の一つですか？
R： はい、これは「地獄」と呼ばれる観光名所の一つです。ここは入浴用ではなく観賞用の温泉で、水温が90～100℃もあるんです。
K: Have you lived elsewhere in Japan?
R: Yes, I lived in Oita for two years after university. It’s famous for its hot springs, the most in Japan.
K: I’ve seen pictures. Is this one of them?
R: Yes, this is called “Jigoku,” one of the famous sightseeing spots. It’s for viewing, not bathing, because the water is around 90–100°C.

K: Absolutely. There are many domestic flights, making it easy to get around. You can fly from Bangkok to northern cities like Chiang Mai or southern areas like Phuket. There are also cars, buses, and trains, but flights save a lot of time.

K： その通りです。タイは広い国なので、移動手段をうまく使えばいろんな地域を楽しめますよ。
