奈良探訪１

奈良在住の私が訪れた所を紹介します。

蘇我馬子の墓と言われる石舞台古墳。天井に使われている２つの石の重さが、64トンと77トンあります。石舞台古墳の前には、子供たちが遊べる広場があります。
They say that "Stone Stage Ancient Tomb" is Sogano  Umako's one. Weight of two rocks at the top are 77 tons and 64 tons. There is a good place for children to play in front of this ancient tomb.

元は土を盛り上げて作ったものであったものが、その土が失われ、巨大な石を用いた横穴式石室が露出しています。石室に入り見上げると、この大きな石をどのようにして積み上げたのか不思議です。
