GLORIOUS WORD DEVOTIONAL Day 46 THEY ARE SHADOWS　彼らは影

(Colossians 2:16-17) Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holiday, or of the new moon, or of the Sabbath days: which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

(コロサイ信徒への手紙２：１６－１７）だから、あなたがたは、食物と飲み物とにつき、あるいは祭や新月や安息日などについて、だれにも批評されてはならない。 これらは、きたるべきものの影であって、その本体はキリストにある。

The word “shadow” in our scripture of study for today means “darkness of error or an adumbration”. 

今日の私たちの聖句の勉強にある「影」という言葉は、「誤りの闇または輪郭」を意味します。

Adumbration gives an idea of making a faint resemblance of the original. In fact, this has led to creation of various Christian Denominations. 

輪郭は、オリジナルにかすかに似ているという考えを与えます。 実際、これはさまざまなキリスト教宗派の創設につながりました。

In the New Testament, God does not have any problem with a believer who chooses to eat a certain type of food or drink.

新約聖書では、神は特定の種類の食べ物や飲み物を食べることを選んだ信者に問題はありません。

 In fact, you can worship on any day and not necessarily Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays. 

実際に、あなたはいつ礼拝をしても、金曜日や土曜日や日曜日にしてもよいのです。

In the verse 18 of Colossians 2 in the message translation, Bible says “do not tolerate people who try to run your life, ordering you to bow and scrape, insisting that you join their obsession with angels and that you seek out visions. 

聖書は、メッセージ翻訳のコロシアン2章の18節で、「あなたが天使への執着に加わり、ビジョンを探すことを主張して、あなたの人生を走らせようとする人々を容認しないでください。あなたがたは、わざとらしい謙そんと天使礼拝とにおぼれている人々から、いろいろと悪評されてはならない。彼らは幻を見たことを重んじ、肉の思いによっていたずらに誇るだけです。

They are a lot of hot air, that’s all they are”. Wow! All of these are adumbrations.

The problem with following these is, it can rub you off of your faith. From today, decide to focus on Christ and not on the adumbrations or shadows. Praise God!

Meditation: (Colossians 2:16-17) Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holiday, or of the new moon, or of the Sabbath days: which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
Activity: Spend quality time in prayer today and declare that you won’t live by the shadows but by Christ.
Confession: I am not subject to days, worship of angels, new moon, taste not, handle not, and all other shadows. I have been liberated from the rudiments of this world. I live perpetually in Christ. Praise God!
