雑記　ウクライナ問題について

ウクライナ問題を私は日本人として静観することはできない。

ウクライナに起きていることは、今後日本に起きる可能性がある。より正確に言えば、この状況は台湾や尖閣諸島に起きる可能性がある。
しかし、その仮想事態を考える前に、我々はふと立ち止まって考えるべきことがあると思う。
国民国家とは何か。近代国家を成立させるための統治構造は果たして現代に必要なのか。そして日本を日本たらしめるものは何か。
それを曖昧に議論したまま、ロシアがなぜ犠牲を払ってウクライナに侵攻するのか、そしてなぜ国際社会は多大な時間と労力をかけてこの状況に関与しようとするのか、という本質を理解することはできない。

As a Japanese, I cannot sit back and watch the Ukraine issue.

What is happening to Ukraine could happen to Japan in the future. To be more precise, this situation could happen to Taiwan or the Senkaku Islands.
But before we think about that hypothetical situation, there are some things we should stop and think about for a moment.
What is a nation-state? Is the governing structure that makes a modern nation really necessary today? And what is it that makes Japan what it is?
If we discuss vaguely these issues, it is impossible to understand the essence of why Russia is sacrificing itself to invade Ukraine and why the international community is spending so much time and effort to get involved in this situation.
