■ deposed | 追放された、退陣させられた
deposeは「追放する」の他に「証言する」の意も。なお、deposeは権力者に使われことが多く、dismissは従業員に対して使われることが多い。

staunchは「揺るがない」「堅牢な」の意。人だけではなく、物や状況にも使用される形容詞。
