Logic "No Pressure"の言葉遊びメモ

ラップにはbars（バー）と呼ばれるダブルミーニング（double entendre）がありますが、ここでは7月24日に発売されたばかりの、ロジック引退アルバムNo Pressureで出てきたダブルミーニングのバーをメモとして記していきます。随時更新します。

No Pressure (intro)

Producin' tracks for the underground like Harriet

①tracksは「曲」の意味で、アンダーグラウンドのラップゲームのために曲を作っていく、という意味。

②tracksは「列車」の意味で、Harriet＝ハリエット・タブマン。奴隷解放運動家で地下鉄道という組織の女性指導者のように、黒人を地下鉄道を通じて逃す列車を作る、といった意味。ハリエット・タブマンはロジックと同じメリーランド出身。

Soul Food II

People scared of change but you'll find me deep in the cushion

①changeは「変わる」の意味で、人々は変わるのを恐れるけど本当の自分はクッションに沈んでいる（＝リラックスしている、地に足のついた）時の自分なんだよという意味。

②changeは「お釣り」の意味で、お釣りの小銭がいらないのはソファーやクッションの隙間に見つけることになるからだ、という意味。

①profitは「利益」の意味。自分はラップゲームで成功して、いくらでも金を稼げるようになったという意味。

②profitは「prophet＝預言者」の意味。ノスタラダムスを90度傾けて読む＝預言者を簡単に回転させることができる（turn a prophet with ease）。

Diacritical lifestyle, I'm always overseas

①oversea＝海外で活動する意味。Iʻm always overseasだけを読むと「いつも海外にいるライフスタイル」である。（もしかしたらdiacritical lifestyleはdie a critical lifestyleと読めば、「いつも海外で活動して、死ぬまで評論に揉まれる日々を過ごす」とも取れる）

②diacriticalというのは発音区別のための記号で、ドイツ語に見られるウムラルトやスペイン語のアクセント記号がこれに当たる。この文では「č・ċ・ć」などCの上につく記号とかけて、「Cの上に付く（over-Cs）発音区別符号のライフスタイル」といっている。

①ハリケーン・ボビー（ロジック）が、レコーディングスタジオの中で木を揺らす勢いでラップしている

②ハリケーンのように勢いのあるロジックが、スタジオの中でマリファナを吸っている

①24金のロレックスは、息子へいつか譲る財産としてつけている

②時計をあげるのは金になる財産だからという理由に加えて、「時間をあげる（＝家族に時間を渡す、すなわちミュージシャンを引退すること）」ことを意味する

①崖から身投げをしてしまいそうな気持ちだが、まるで（ワンス・アポン・ア・タイム・イン・ハリウッドの）リック・ダルトンのようにレコーディングブースに立っている

cliff= 崖、booth＝レコーディングブース

②映画の中でリック・ダルトンのスタントマンを務めていた相方の名前がクリフ・ブース（Cliff Booth）

①bar＝刑務所の檻。人生を刑務所に見立てている

②bar＝ラップの「バー」。ラッパーとして人生を捧げること＝life behind bars
