The Japanese economy won’t suffer as harshly as others do because of the Junk psychological concept

Inflation won’t affect Japan

The Wall Street Journal Dec. 2, 2021, reported how western countries are hurting with lingering coronavirus ill effects under the title of “Bicycle Makers Offer Clues On the Persistence of Inflation Higher component costs and intense demand mean increases are coming”

Experts predict that the inflation pressure won’t ease until the end of 2024. The owner of the bicycle maker agrees with that.

I wonder if Japan will also be affected with the inflation pressure although the country doesn’t reach to inflation in its own word despite price hikes on some staple foods such as bread, beef or flour.

My conclusion is that Japan will be least affected by the world trend toward inflation.

This has something to do with how Japanese people wear masks.

Almost all the people in Japan are still wearing masks without any mandatory restriction from the government.

The Japanese as Predictor

This indicates that the Japanese people unconsciously avoid the risk of further spread of Covid-19 infection in a collective manner.

In other words,  what the psychology guru Jung considered the collective unconscious does work among them.

They predict that the next disaster spread will come in their collective minds.

Likewise, they are trying to reduce their consumption collectively fearing the spread of inflation worldwide. Here, collective unconscious works to help avoid inflation.

One aspect which helps their collective conscious grow is the fact that they had a bitterest lesson from the oil crisis in 1973 when the Japanese consumers had a hardest time with crazy inflation.

Lack of freedom? Maybe

Their mind has grown so that they should avoid any minor symptom of inflation. Since then, they haven’t let remarkable price hike by holding up for buying products with higher price tags.

I believe in the Japanese collective unconscious which should help prevent the spreading inflation.

Some might argue that  the collective mind is the proof of individualism lacking in the society. They are forced into unanimous way of thinking before they know it. I am afraid this is true, at least partly.
