Competitive 競争力のある、ほかに負けない
Here competitive means able to compete with others at level that isn't easily by others.
Otherwise 'competitive' can mean that a person want to compete.
このへん、特に文法に合うような英語として聞き取れませんでした。
「競争力のある」の他、負けず嫌いという意味があると言っていると思いますが。
Like, Natalie is so competitive. She gets very upset when losing games.
Accumulate 蓄積する、ためる
Here accumulate means build up.
Double-whammy 二重災難
二重苦、泣き面に蜂
なんとなく使い勝手の良さそうな語彙。
Outbreak 大流行
In this case, outbreak means a harmful thing causes widely, a big number.
Stabilize 安定する
When something stabilizes, it becomes steady, it doesn't around in significant ways.
大きな変化がないこと
Enrich 質を豊かにする
Enrich is easy to understand. Make something richer. Enhance things, make it better. Give more value.
以前も書きましたが、この語彙説明リスニングがいちばん英語脳を作るのに役に立っているような気がします。
英語で分からないことを、英語で説明されている…それがコミュニケーション言語の真髄といっても良いような？
