1月のスケジュールがギチギチに埋まってるんだけど、コントの台本と演出、絵本、英語小説の翻訳、『DETECTIVE X ♯2』、主題歌の作詞作曲レコーディングと……なんと小説の執筆がない。
1ヶ月も小説を書かないのは作家になって初めてかも。
そのあと書く小説は、むちゃくちゃいいものになる予感……。

In my case, the time when I feel the most numb is when I keep writing novels.

いつも本を出すと数ヶ国で翻訳版が出てくれるのだけど、『きこえる』は真っ先に申し込んできたのがロシアの出版社だった。
ロシア語への翻訳は、じつは初めて。

Usually when I publish a book, translated versions are published in several countries, but for ``Kikoeru,'' the first one that approached me was a Russian publisher.

This is actually my first time translating into Russian.

I wonder if people in Russia are in the mood to try some new type of entertainment...
