Illustrator Akira Uno. He began his career in the 1950s, and worked with Makoto Wada and Tadanori Yokoo to popularize illustration. She has continued to be active at the forefront with her unique style, including the lyrical portraits of girls she painted at the request of Shuji Terayama and the sensual posters for underground plays, and she turned 90 this spring. Uno's illustrations remain timeless. What is the secret behind its charm? We will unravel the story from the scene of Uno's creation and the testimonies of people who knew him.
