慶悟くん

直島出身。大学卒業後、東京で就職。現在は直島と東京の二拠点で活動している。

Born in Naoshima. After graduating from university, worked in Tokyo. Currently, based in both Naoshima and Tokyo.

東京の大学在学中にいろんな海外の観光地に行きましたが、不便な場所にも関わらず、ここまでアートや建築を見に、 たくさんの人が訪れるのは世界でもまれな場所です。高校時代までは当たり前すぎて気付きませんでしたが、一度離れてみて、より実感するようになりました。あと、離れていたときに、いちばん恋しかったのは直島の「海」。海を見ながら、ゆっくりとした時間を感じるのがやっぱり落ち着きま す。友だちを連れてきて、直島の海を見せるとみんな「きれい」ってもれなく感動してくれます。
今後の自分の目標は、「日本と海外をよりつなげる」ことです。自分が育った直島の魅力を、海外の人に発信したり、体験してもらったりすることで、より良い思い出づくりの手伝いをしていきたいです。

While a university student in Tokyo, I visited many foreign countries, but Naoshima is one of the few places in the world where so many people visit to see art and architecture, despite its inconvenient location. My goal for the future is to “further connect Japan and foreign countries. I would like to help create better memories by communicating the charms of Naoshima to people overseas and having them experience it.
