バンドジャーナルでのブラスバンドレコード紹介
1959年10月にバンドジャーナルが創刊され、翌年1月号から吹奏楽レコードを紹介する連載が始まりました*1。その初回に２枚のブラスバンドのレコードが赤松文治氏*2により紹介されています。*3
森田論文によりますと、その後もバンドジャーナルでは不定期ですがブラスバンドのレコードが紹介され続け、ブラスバンドに関する記事も記載されるなど、吹奏楽とは異なるブラスバンドに関する理解が増していったことがわかります。
なお、この連載は今もバンドジャーナルで続いていて「ディスク・ガイド」として管楽器の国内・輸入版のCDを紹介しています。
森田論文レコードを推理してみました
おそらくバンドジャーナル原本を手に取ればレコード紹介のページにしっかり記されているのですがそれを目にする手段が今はありません。そこで推察してみることにします。こりゃあ楽しい !
1960年1月号で紹介のブラスバンドレコード 1

「②ロスアンゼルス救世軍バンド
これは金管ばかりのいわゆるブラスバンドの演奏で、興味深いレコー
ドである。内容もマーチ、男声合唱、ホルン三重奏、組曲などが入って
いて変化に富んでいる。但し大曲や有名な曲は含まれていない。（中略）」
検索の結果、「これは間違いがない ! 」という１枚が見つかりました。

「③セント・ジョン・アムブランスとバルウッド・ブラスバンド
このバンドはオーストリアのセント・エルモの金管バンドで恐らく市
民バンドであろう。内容は行進曲が殆んどで有名な「トロンボーンキン
グ」（キング作曲）や「銃声」（アルフォード作曲）、「征服者」（タイケ
作曲）など十二曲を収録してある。金管バンドのレコードとして参考にな
る一枚であろう。」
検索の結果、13曲の収録ですが「おそらくこれに間違いがない ! 」という１枚です。

されている。そこには、「木管を含まない所謂イギリス式のブラスバンド
のレコードで、演奏者はオーストラリアのメルボルン市立吹奏楽団であ
る」と書かれている。」

な吹奏楽曲がたくさん聞けて、しかも充実した立派な仕上げのアンサンブルがたのしめるから、参考になる点も多いだろう。」

「1964年9月号のほうでは、バンド名が「吹奏楽団」と書かれており、違いが分かりにくい部分もある。」
これも手がかりはありません。
1965年3月号で紹介のブラスバンドレコード
(森田論文 p.75)
「1965年3月号では「イギリスでは木管を含まないいわゆるブラスバンド」と書かれている。」
無理ですね。
