灼熱の地球、回線電話の待機電力消費が原因の一つ Scorching Earth caused by standby power consumption of line phones and around the world
世界で何億台の回線電話が待機電力を消費し続けていることでしょうか？
世界中で携帯電話が普及していますが、依然として回線電話も何億台も存在使用されています。
中国の固定電話数2億台／10億人から仮定して、仮に世界に5億台の回線電話があり、その待機時消費電力が2Whとすれれば、その待機消費電力量は864億kW／年です。
これだけ多くの電気が通話されない時間に無駄使いされています。
これは定格能力（設備容量）100万kWの原子力発電所、1基の年間発電量です。
逆に言えば、世界中の固定電話の待機電力がゼロになれば、1基の100万kWの原子力発電所をなくすることができる計算になります。
ちなみに、我が家では固定電話の待機電力はここ20年間ほど私自身が開発した節電装置「節電虫」でゼロになっていますので、350kW、14,000円ほどの節約になっています。
もっとも、大切なのは節電量、節電料金だけでなく、現在の異常気象原因への対策への参加意識と具体的な参加行動です。
How many hunreds of millions of line phones in the world continue to consume standby power?
While cell phones are in widespread use around the world, there are still hundreds of millions of landline phones in use.
China is said to have 200 million landline phones and 1 billion people.
Assuming, then, that there are 500 million line phones in the world and that their standby power consumption is 2Wh, their standby power consumption is 86.4 billion kW.
So much electricity is wasted on time not spent on calls.
This is the annual electricity production of 1 nuclear power plants with a rated capacity of 1 million kW.
Conversely, if the standby power of all landline telephones in the world were reduced to zero, we could eliminate 1 nuclear power plants with a rated capacity of 1,000,000 kW.
Incidentally, the standby power of landline phones in my home has been reduced to zero for the past 20 years by a power-saving device I developed myself, “Setsuden-mushi.
But what is important is not only the amount of electricity saved and the price of electricity saved, but also the awareness of participation in countermeasures and our concrete actions against the causes of the current extreme weather conditions.
