河野デジタル（DX担当）大臣 on BBC　Digital Transformation Minister Kono on BBC

7月26日（金）の16時過ぎ（日本時間）からBBCの「ハードトーク」という25分のラジオ番組に河野デジタル大臣が出演しました。

番組司会者のステファン・サッカー（Stephen Sackur）が日本の現状、円安、デジタル乗り遅れ、外国人労働者、総裁選挙などについて彼にインタビューしました。

この番組「ハードトーク」は名前の通り、突っ込みが激しく、世界中の「時の人」が出演、インタビューされていて、司会者と出演者の間で時にはケンカ腰の言い合いになることもよくある番組です。

日本の政治家でこの番組に出演依頼される人は経歴、語学力、現在の立場から判断して、現在は河野さんしかいなかったのでしょう。

他の政治家、特にリーダーと呼ばれる人たちも内弁慶でなく、色々な場面で自分の口で十分に海外発信もできる力がほしいですね。

Digital Minister Kono appeared on a 25-minute radio program called “Hard Talk” on the BBC after 16:00 (Japan time) on Friday, July 26.

Program host Stephen Sackur interviewed him about the current situation in Japan, the weak yen, the digital lag, foreign workers, the Prime Minister election, and more.

This program, “Hard Talk,” as the name suggests, is a program that is very in-depth, with “people of the moment” from all over the world appearing and being interviewed, and it often leads to sometimes contentious arguments between the host and the guests.

Judging from his background, language skills, and current position, Mr. Kono was probably the only Japanese politician currently being asked to appear on this program.

I would like to see other politicians, especially those who are called “leaders,” not only be able to speak from within, but also have the ability to fully communicate overseas with their own mouths on various occasions.
