神レベルの声量を持つ日本人アーティスト

ここのところ洋楽ばかりで海外アーティストが続いていたので、今日は、日本人アーティストを取り上げましょう。まずは、アジア圏で絶大な人気を誇り、かつ日本で一番歌が上手いと言われている男性アーティストです。その名も、

玉置さんは、単に歌がうまい(He sings very well.)とか、声量がある(He has a powerful voice.)というだけでなく、歌声が聞いている人の魂を揺さぶる(His voice deeply touches people’s soul.)ところがすごいと言えます(That’s amazing.)。また、歌い方や曲調が哀愁を誘う(The way he sings and the melodies of his music invite melancholy)点も他のミュージシャンと違う（That makes his songs different from other musicians.）と言えるでしょう。

では、私がよく聞いている1曲をどうぞ。

玉置氏がアジア圏の人々に人気があるのは、東洋的な幼少の頃を懐かしむ哀愁を思い起こさせてくれる(His songs give me an oriental sense of melancholy or sorrow that bring back good old childhood memories.)ところにあるのではないかと思います。

つまり、伝統的な童謡や民謡が持っている民衆の中にある喜び、苦しみ、せつなさなどの喜怒哀楽を彼の曲、あるいは歌声の中に見出しているからだと思います。(People find such human emotions as joy, sorrow, and pain felt in traditional nursery or folk songs in his music or his voice.)

実際に、幼少の頃たくさん童謡や民謡を聞いて育った(He grew up listening to nursery and folk songs)と彼自身インタビューで答えていました。その影響が多分に曲作りに反映されている(That affected his song writing process a great deal.)と思います。

なお、彼の声にはヒーリング効果がある（His voice has its healing effects）らしく、夜寝る前に彼の歌を聞く(listen to his songs before going to sleep)という人もいるそうです。まさに天然の睡眠導入剤のようなものですね。(It is like a natural sleeping pill.)　乱れた自律神経のバランスを整えてくれる効果があるとよく言われます(His songs are said to provide the effect of balancing the disturbed autonomic nervous system.)。確かになーと私もI agree.

動画のコメント欄を見ても、普通は批判的なネガティヴコメントがある(People usually put negative comments on the comment sections of YouTube videos.)ものですが、彼の場合はすべてが彼の才能を絶賛しているものばかりです。(Comments on his performance are nothing but raving about his talent.)
