Quarterly Disclosure "Proposed Revisions" / 四半期開示の「見直し案」Vol.42

Regarding the Financial Council's proposed revision of quarterly disclosures. I 'm in favor of the proposal. It was quite a labor-intensive task for a team to prepare a brief report and a quarterly report and bring them to disclosure, so I agree that from a worker's perspective, it will become an annual brief report, a securities report, and a semi-annual report. From a shareholder's point of view, it may be a minus in the sense that there is less material for decision making, but it may be a plus if it allows managers to think about the business from a medium- to long-term perspective and reduces the possibility of having to spend a quarter fretting over fluctuations in stock prices.

金融審議会が、四半期開示の見直し案を公表した件について。
私は賛成派。短信や四半報をチームで作成して開示まで持っていくのは結構労力がいる業務でしたので、年度短信と有価証券報告書と半期報告書になるのは作業者目線だと賛成。株主目線だと判断材料が減るという意味ではマイナスなのでしょうが、経営者が中長期的な視点で事業を考える事が出来たり、株価変動にビクビクしながら四半期をおくったりする可能性が減って動けるのであればプラスなのかもしれない。
