福岡を土日で全力で食い倒れるプランの一例を記載します。
福岡の観光にあたりガイドブックも参考にしています。

1日目 (土曜日)
飛行機 (ANA) の時間が06:50のため、始発で羽田空港に向かいました。
朝4時に予約した英会話は寝過ごしましたが、空港には予定通り到着しました。
時間がなくラウンジには入れなかったのですが、保安検査を通過した目の前が搭乗口のため楽でした。
既に搭乗待機が始まっていました。
飛行機は狭いので、後から搭乗するのが好きですが、手荷物を棚へ確実に入れたかったので、待機列に並びました。
寝不足もあり、およそ2時間のフライトはずっと寝ていました。
離陸は覚えていませんが、着陸は目が覚めましたので記憶があります。
福岡空港から天神駅に向かい、そこから徒歩で宿泊先の「Hotel Mei」へ移動しました。
1泊2人で約14,000円でした。
部屋は最小限の広さでしたが、アメニティはガウンなど一式は揃っていたので嬉しいです。
お風呂は非常に狭かったので残念でした。
インバウンドの影響もあってか福岡市内のホテル代は高騰しているように感じます。
ホテルで荷物を下ろし、天神駅の近くにある警固神社に行きました。
お参りを済ませて、無料の足湯にも入りました。
やや熱めのお湯でした。
西鉄天神駅から西鉄久留米駅まで移動しました。
ホームドアは昇降ロープ式で大阪と同じシステムだなと感じました。
西鉄久留米駅からバスで医大前に移動しました。
そこから徒歩で数分移動したところに久留米城跡 (篠山城跡) があります。
続日本100名城の1つです。
日本100名城と違い、通好みの城が続日本100名城らしいです。
久留米には妻の祖母が暮らしており、一緒にランチを食べる約束をしていました。
城跡内にあるレストラン有馬で昼食をとりました。
城跡のため、見晴らしが素晴らしいです。
写真は店外のものですが、筑後川と吉野ヶ里方向を一望できます。
今回は信玄弁当を注文しました。
お弁当を開ける前に、お弁当についた黄色い花を花瓶に挿すのは、粋でした。
弁当を開けると蓋である盃に店員さんが食前酒を注いでくれました。
日本酒が飲めない人は梅ジュースになるそうです。
お弁当自体は味付けも控えめで美味しかったです。
また、醤油が甘く、福岡に来たなと感じられたのも良かったです。
食後の抹茶とゆべしも美味しかったです。
食事中に飲んだ緑茶もそうですが、お茶が美味しかったです (八女茶なのか？)。
料金は1人で3,000円でした。
なお、久留米城と武田信玄の関わりは不明です。
妻の祖母と別れ、太宰府に行きました。
駅からすぐ参道があるため、迷わずに太宰府天満宮まで行けました。
ただ、太宰府の御本殿は令和の大改修により、仮殿のみ見ることができます。
しかしながら、この仮殿は2023年から2025年の約3年間しか見れないレアなものです。
お守りも購入できました。
参道にいる御神牛を触りながら、かさの家の梅ヶ枝餅 (150円) を食べて天神に戻りました。
福岡城跡に行きました。
上りのタイミングで、ポケモンGOのイベントが発生していたようです。
下のタイミングでは、人はまばらになっていました。
天守台からは福岡市を一望できました。
雨が降っていたこともあり貸切でした。
夕食は「博多水炊き専門 橙」に行きました。
この店は水炊き初心者にオススメです。
店員さんが説明しながら鍋を目の前で作ってくれるので、非常に楽です。
味も非常に美味しいです。
スープをコップに注がれ、味の変化も楽しむことができました。
野菜を入れた後のスープが一番美味しかったです。
ただ、人気店で予約が取りづらいので、早めに予約する必要があります。
以下を注文して合計で11,100円でした。
- 水炊き2人前：8,300円
- 雑炊：350円
- 瓶ビール：700円
- 日本酒 (若波) 1合：900円
- 日本酒 (TAMA) 1合：850円
食後の運動として大濠公園を散策しました。
バスで中洲に行きました。
一蘭のビルがあり驚きました。
そのビルのテラスでパフォーマンスをしており、衝撃的でした。
中洲に来た目的は屋台でした。
屋台通りは思ったよりも外国人も来ており、しっかり観光地なんだなと実感しました。
実際に、入店した屋台の隣の席は韓国からのお客さんのようでした。
屋台は「手作り餃子 武ちゃん」を選択しました。
約20分くらい待ち、入店できました。
餃子は粉っぽく、酒は濃く、安くもないので観光地だなと改めて思いました。
以下を注文して2,600円でした。
- ひとくち餃子：700円
- どてやき：700円
- 黒霧島 (ソーダ割り) x2：600円
皆様お待ちかねの締めは豚骨ラーメンです。
「博多だるま 総本店」に行きました。
店外から香る豚骨臭にさらされながら10分くらい待ち入店しました。
豚骨ラーメンのドス黒い見た目と泡に躊躇しながらも恐る恐る一口スープを飲むと、衝撃的な美味しさでした。
少しでも味がずれると不味くなるのに美味しいため、絶妙なバランス感覚に脱帽でした。
おでんは正統派で美味しかったです。
以下を注文して1,040円でした。
・ラーメン：800円
・おでん x2：240円
帰りにセブンイレブンで朝食を買いつつホテルに戻り1日目は終了です。
2日目 (日曜日)
ホテルをチェックアウトして、昼食先の「博多もつ鍋 前田屋総本店」に行きました。
開店時間の11時に予約していました。
開店の数分前に到着しましたが、店の前には行列ができていました。
無事に入店してもつ鍋2人前を注文しました。
もつ鍋をあまり美味しいと感じたことはこれまでありませんでしたが、このもつ鍋は本当に美味しかったです。
飛行機の時間が迫っていたこともあり、45分程度食事を済ませ、店を後にしました。
鍋2人前と締めのちぢれ麺も含め、料金は3,762円でした。
東比恵駅から福岡空港に到着しました。
20代限定のJALカード「JAL CLUB EST」を持っているので、無料でサクララウンジに入れました。
このカードは年間5回まで国内線のサクララウンジに入れます。
ラウンジのアメニティには、もちろんビールがありました。
黒霧島があるあたり、九州だなと感じました。
また、JALの文字がデザインされた個性的な風鈴もありました。
13時に福岡空港を出発して、この旅は終わりました。
旅費の合計
2人で1泊して約10万円でした。

Day 1 (Saturday)
We took the first train to Haneda Airport because our flight (ANA) was scheduled for 06:50.
Although I overslept my 4:00 am reservation for an English lesson, I arrived at the airport on time.
We could not enter the lounge due to lack of time.
It was easy because the boarding gate was before us as we passed the security check.
Waiting for boarding had already started.
I prefer to board later because the plane space is small, but I wanted to make sure my baggage was placed in the rack, so I got in line.
Due to lack of sleep, I slept the entire approximately 2-hour flight.
I don't remember the takeoff, but I remember the landing.
We went from Fukuoka Airport to Tenjin Station and walked to Hotel Mei, where we stayed.
The price was about 14,000 JPY per night for two people.
The room was minimal in size, but I was pleased that it was equipped with a complete set of amenities, including a gown.
Hotel prices in Fukuoka City seem to be soaring, probably due to inbound travel.
We dropped off our luggage at the hotel and went to Kego Shrine near Tenjin Station.
I paid my respects and took a footbath.
The water was somewhat hot and it was free.
We moved from Nishitetsu Tenjin Station to Nishitetsu Kurume Station.
The platform door is the same system as in Osaka, with an elevating rope system.
From Nishitetsu Kurume Station, we took a bus to the Medical University Mae stop.
A few minutes walk from there is the Kurume Castle Ruin (Sasayama Castle Ruin).
It is one of the 100 best castles in Japan.
Many of the castles in the “100 Great Castles of Japan” are well-known, but the “100 Great Castles of Continuing Japan” are more for the connoisseur's taste.
My wife's grandmother lives in Kurume and we had promised to have lunch together.
The place was Restaurant Arima, located in the ruins of a castle.
Because of the castle ruins, the view is wonderful.
The following picture is from outside the restaurant, but you can see the Chikugo River and the direction of Yoshinogari.
We ordered the Shingen bento.
Before opening the bento, we put the yellow flowers that came with the bento in a vase.
The waiter poured aperitif sake into the sake cup, the lid of the bento.
For those who cannot drink sake, it will be plum juice.
The food was tasty and moderately seasoned.
The soy sauce was sweet, and it was nice to feel that I had come to Fukuoka.
The matcha green tea and yubeshi (sweet bean paste) after the meal were also delicious.
The tea was delicious, as was the green tea we drank during the meal (I assume it was Yamecha).
The fee was 3,000 yen per person.
The relationship between Kurume Castle and Takeda Shingen is unknown.
We left my wife's grandmother and went to Dazaifu.
Because the approach to the temple is near the station, we could get to Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine without getting lost.
However, due to the major renovation of the Dazaifu Main Hall in 2025, only the temporary hall can be seen.
This temporary hall is rare and can only be seen for about three years from 2023 to 2025.
I bought a good luck charm.
After touching the sacred cow on the approach to the shrine and eating Umegae mochi (150 yen) from Kasanoya, we returned to Tenjin.
We went to the Fukuoka Castle Ruins.
At the uphill timing, there seemed to be a Pokémon GO event happening.
By the time we went down, the event seemed to have ended and the place was sparsely populated.
From the keep, we had a panoramic view of Fukuoka City.
It was a private party since it was raining.
we went to “Hakata Mizutaki Specialty Orange” for dinner.
We recommend this restaurant for beginners of Mizutaki.
It is very easy as the waiter explains and cooks the pot dish in front of you.
The taste is also very good.
The waiter poured the soup into a cup and we enjoyed the change in taste.
The soup tasted best after the vegetables were added.
However, the restaurant is very popular and reservations are hard to get, so you need to make your reservations early.
We ordered the following items for a total of 11,100 JPY.
- Mizutaki for 2: 8,300 JPY
- Zosui (rice porridge): 350 JPY
- Bottled beer: 700 JPY
- Sake (Wakanami) 1 gos of sake: 900 JPY
- Sake (TAMA) 1 gou: 850 JPY
As an after-dinner exercise, we took a walk in Ohori Park.
We took a bus to Nakasu.
We were surprised to see the Ichiran building.
They were performing on the terrace of the building, which was shocking.
The purpose of my visit to Nakasu was the food stalls.
The stalls were more crowded with foreigners than we expected, and we realized that it was a solid tourist attraction.
The seat next to the stall we entered seemed to be occupied by a customer from Korea.
We chose “Take-chan Handmade Gyoza” as our food stall.
We waited about 20 minutes and were able to enter.
The gyoza was powdery, the sake was strong and not cheap, so I thought again that it was a tourist place.
We ordered the following items for 2,600 yen.
- A bite of dumpling: 700 JPY
- Doteyaki: 700 JPY
- Kurokirishima (soda) x2: 600 JPY
The final dish that everyone has been waiting for is Tonkotsu Ramen.
We went to Hakata Daruma Sohonten.
We waited for about 10 minutes and entered the restaurant, being exposed to the smell of pork bones from outside the restaurant.
We were hesitant because of the black appearance of the tonkotsu ramen and the bubbles, but when we took a sip of the soup, we were shocked at how delicious it was.
We took our hat off to the restaurant's exquisite sense of balance, for if the flavor shifted even a little, it would taste bad, and it was delicious.
The oden was authentic and delicious.
We ordered the following for 1,040 JPY.
- Ramen: 800 JPY
- Oden x2: 240 JPY
On the way back, we bought breakfast at a 7-Eleven while returning to the hotel to end the first day.
Day 2 (Sunday)
After checking out of the hotel, we went to my lunch destination, Hakata Motsu Nabe Maedaya Sohonten.
We made a reservation for 11:00 am, the restaurant's opening time.
We arrived a few minutes before the restaurant opened, but there was a line in front of the restaurant.
We safely entered the restaurant and ordered two servings of motsu nabe.
I have never enjoyed motsu nabe so much before, but this motsu nabe was really tasty.
Since our flight was about to leave, we finished our meal in about 45 minutes and left the restaurant.
The total cost was 3,762 JPY, including two servings of nabe and noodles to finish the meal.
We arrived at Fukuoka Airport from Higashi Hie Station.
Since I have the JAL CLUB EST, a JAL card for 20-somethings only, I could enter the Sakura Lounge for free.
This card allows me to enter the Sakura Lounge up to 5 times a year for domestic flights.
The amenities in the lounge included beer, of course.
I felt like I was in Kyushu when I saw Kurokirishima.
There was also an uninspired wind chime with the letters JAL designed on it.
We left Fukuoka Airport at 1:00 pm and ended this trip.
Total trip expenses
Two people stayed one night for about 100,000 JPY.
