My Responses to the JASON-Proposed Questionnaire and Considerations on Their Relation to AHI Victims Ver.2

In 2016, U.S. embassy staff and their families in Havana, Cuba, reported perceiving abnormal sounds at their residences, along with symptoms such as severe headaches and dizziness.

Subsequently, similar symptoms were reported by various U.S. personnel worldwide, including not only embassy staff but also FBI, CIA, and Department of Defense employees.

Initially referred to as "Havana Syndrome," this phenomenon is now recognized as "Anomalous Health Incidents (AHI)."

In 2022, the JASON group, a team of scientists advising the U.S. federal government, published a report titled An Analysis of Data and Hypotheses Related to the Embassy Incidents (hereafter referred to as "JASON Report 2022"), describing this phenomenon as "the Embassy Incidents."
The full report (153 pages) can be accessed via the following link.

In Ver.2, readability has been prioritized over Ver.1 (the English version has not been posted).

Related articles will be introduced in this post as necessary.
Please be aware that there may be future additions or corrections regarding the symptoms.

What I want to convey is that I have experienced all the symptoms listed in the JASON-proposed questionnaire, either in the past or currently.

While multiple symptoms often occur simultaneously, there does not appear to be a causal relationship between them. In other words, there seems to be no tendency for severe tinnitus or headaches to trigger other symptoms.

Q1. Which of the following symptoms, if any, you experience during the event?

1-1 Central chest area or upper central chest area
In the latter case, it may be accompanied by a wheezing sensation
  Around the anus

1-2 Entire body

1-3 A very narrow area in the lower abdomen (near the left groin)

  • Left pinky, either the first or second joint, area near the lower left molar, etc.

  • Various smells such as sewage-like odor, body odor, cigarette smell, or no smell at all

  • Genital and anal area

1-4 Various smells such as sewage-like odor, body odor, cigarette smell, or no smell at all

Q2. If you answered yes to Sound in Question 1, Check all that apply.

2-1 About the sound I refer to as "pan":
It basically feels like it’s coming from above.
There are also many unnatural sounds while I am inside my home
   (omitted here).

2-2 There was a period when the clicking sound of a ballpoint pen,
picked up during TV programs, had such an impact that it made my heart
  skip a beat.

2-3 The volume ranges from incredibly loud to faint sounds.

2-4 Since the volume can change freely, it’s hard to describe, but because
others can perceive it as well, covering my ears with my hands should
  reduce the volume.

Q3 & 4.  (Q3) If you answered yes to Heat in Question 1, please answer the following.      (Q4) If you answered yes to Dizziness or Nausea in Question 1, please answer the following.

4-1
I recall experiencing dizziness frequently for several years during the 2000s. I may have experienced it even before that period.

I felt it both while standing and sitting, especially when stretching.

Nausea first occurred on April 4, 2018, while I was on the train heading to Sun Flare, a translation company. Unable to endure it, I got off the train midway, sat on a bench on the platform, and watched around four trains pass by. As soon as I sat on the bench, a warm breeze from the vent above was directed at me.
Although my body was exhausted, I managed to eat curry at Matsuya, near the company’s closest station.

Before this, there were two other instances of nausea on the train: once when I fell backward due to dizziness and once when I managed to endure it while still on the train.

Details about my experiences with dizziness are provided below. ↓

Q5-7.  (Q5) If you answered yes to headache in question 1, please specify type.    (Q6) Specify the duration of the event.   (Q7) Did the sensations and symptoms change when you moved?

6-1
Sound:
It is more intermittent or single-shot, occurring almost daily (the sound I heard on March 5, 2018, inside the hotel room and in the hallway lasted about 1-2 seconds).

Pressure:
Can last for several hours at times.
It can also occur for about 10-30 minutes while lying on the futon.

Heat:
Can last for several hours.

Pain:
Often persists for several hours.

Smell:
Varies from temporary to several hours. Sometimes I perceive various smells temporarily or momentarily, but there are also long periods during which I don’t perceive any smell at all.

Physical sensations:

Itching: Varies from temporary to several hours.

Erection: Lasts for a few minutes. It can also last longer or occur intermittently.

Sensation of lips being pulled or body being dragged:
       Lasts about 2-3 seconds.

Tonic smile: Brief but has continued intermittently.

Tinnitus:
Including fluctuations in intensity, it has occurred almost constantly every day for more than six years.

Nausea:
Takes about 10-20 minutes from onset to recovery.

Dizziness:
Lasts about 10-20 seconds.
Headache: Lasts for several hours.

7-1
I have experienced several times that when I receive stimulation to the genital or anal area on a train and change seats, the stimulation resumes after a while.

Tinnitus does not change in volume or type due to movement.

When I experienced severe headaches, there was almost no change even when I moved outside the room or to the hallways of the floors above or below.

Q8 & 9.  (Q8) Was anyone else present?    (Q9) Check any malfunction of electronics near you that was coincident with the event.

8-1
Nausea:  In a crowded train.
Sound ("pop"):  About 1 meter.
Tinnitus:  Ranges from inside a crowded train to several meters away.

9-1
The ☑ checklist items, along with the separately listed phenomena, are believed to have causes other than the electromagnetic waves associated with the symptoms.

9-2

(Before Correction - 2024-11-10)
・In March 2018 (while residing in Miyamae Ward, Kawasaki City), the TV was repeatedly turned off or reset to its initial state.

(After Correction - 2024-11-10)
・In March 2018 (while residing in Miyamae Ward, Kawasaki City), whenever I turned the TV on, it was immediately turned off again, a cycle that continued for an extended period over the course of 2–3 days.

Additionally, I was made to believe that I needed to reset the TV to its default settings, which led me to do so myself 2–3 times.

・On April 4, 2018, the cursor on a monitor inside a translation company's office moved on its own.

9-3
I am not very familiar with using cell phones, so I cannot say for certain, but I try to set the ringtone to silent, yet it suddenly rings.

9-4
・When using a navigation app, the directions provided become erratic.

・110 emergency calls do not appear in the call history.

・While calling the Kashiwa Police Station, the display shows "Togane Police Station Kanayago Substation" (though it initially seemed to show Kashiwa Police Station).

Q10 & 11.   (Q10) Check all that apply regarding your location during the incident.   (Q11) Please estimate the distance to the following.

Q12 & 13.   (Q12) How often do you get headaches?  (Q13) Have you ever suffered from or been diagnosed with any of the following? Check all that apply.

12-1
Since moving to Kawasaki City in October 2003, I have suffered for several months, or possibly over a year, from symptoms that felt like my head was being constricted or stiffened, especially while at home for long periods almost every day.

13-1
When I was in junior high school, I was examined for dizziness and diagnosed with orthostatic dysregulation, as autonomic imbalance was considered unusual for my age.

I was advised to refrain from physical activities. In a follow-up consultation, the doctor told me that I had "recovered," and I stopped going to the hospital. I recall not experiencing dizziness for some time after that.

I believe that severe dizziness, which could have caused me to faint, began around 1987-1988.

From about 1989 to 2000, I had no symptoms, but I started experiencing dizziness again and frequently did so until around 2010.

I have not sought medical advice for dizziness since my junior high school years.

Q14 - 16.   (Q14) How were you feeling otherwise on the day of the incident?    (Q15) Have these symptoms ~ ?   (Q16) Please describe if anything else out of the ordinary happened at the same time and just before the event.

14-1
If the event is defined as "the incidents at the hotel and convenience store early in the morning on March 5, 2018":

There was nothing physically or health-wise different from usual.

15-1
I have not experienced dizziness for a long period, nor have I perceived nausea since March 2018, but I believe these were artificially induced, so I cannot say I have recovered.

Tinnitus (sometimes different sounds in each ear), attacks on the genital or anal areas, and the "pan" sound continue daily.

I also occasionally experience other symptoms, such as chest pressure.

16-1
If the event is defined as "the incidents at the hotel and convenience store early in the morning on March 5, 2018":

The day before, when I arrived in front of the hotel by taxi, numerous black sedans were parked in tandem, and as I got out, a man in a suit also got out from one of the vehicles, looking at me angrily.

I had not made a reservation and decided to stay at the hotel at the lobby on the day of the event.

After the incident, during checkout, the lobby was filled with foreigners. Among them were two men in suits who seemed to be aware of the incident.
