It seemed to me, in my wandering thoughts that the female side of the fall tried to cling to the male, but was cruelly divided by the sharp rock. It seemed as though she were weeping pitifully. The male waterfall seemed to fall loudly and strongly. The female waterfall looked like a beautiful woman, weeping and trembling. It shook my heart and body to think of these things. Remembering how we had bathed together upstream, I saw her image in the female waterfall, floating and sinking. I nearly threw myself in the fall to reach her.
