６　『人攫(ひとさら)い』

　祭りの集まりに顔を出したおとしの帰りが少し遅くなった。そして、帰ってみると娘のたみえがおとしを迎えに出ていなかった。しかし、あまりにも遅い。あわてておとしは方々を探してまわったがいなかった。
翌日、村の者たちが集まって相談をした。たみえはどうやら人攫いにあったらしい。そして、箕つくりの夫婦がいたのが判明した。この夫婦がどうやらたみえを攫ったらしい。
　大鷲坊は別の村に連絡をとり、箕つくりの夫婦の情報を求めた。すると、子供を背負った一組の男女を見たという情報が得られた。早速、大鷲坊は後を追う。

6. "Kidnapping"

　　　Otoshi was a little late coming home after attending a festival gathering. When she returned, her daughter Tamie was not there to greet her. However, it was too late. Otoshi frantically searched everywhere for her, but she was not there.
　　　The next day, the villagers gathered together to discuss the matter. It seemed that Tamie had been kidnapped. They discovered that there was a couple who made winnowing baskets. It seemed that this couple had kidnapped Tamie.
