２　『岡安家の犬』

　海坂藩の近習組を務めている岡安家、十兵衛門は隠居の身、息子は他界し、当主は　孫の甚之丞、甚之丞の母、妹の八寿、奈美の家族５暮らし。家族全員犬が大きで、アカという犬を飼っていた。ある時、甚之丞が　妹八寿の嫁入りが決まっていた親友の野地金之助、関口兵蔵と犬鍋を食べたが　それがアカの肉だったことで友情決裂、あわや果し合いに成る寸前に。
　強情な金之助、見栄っ張りの金之助は親に置手紙をして姿を消したが、苦労してアカと似た犬を探し出して岡安家に現れ、甚之丞も許し、八寿も喜びの涙を流す。

2. "The Dog of the Okayasu Family"

 
　　　The Okayasu family serves as attendants to the Unasaka domain. Jubeimon is retired, his son has passed away, and the head of the family is his grandson Jinnojo, Jinnojo's mother, his sister Yasuju, and Nami, a family of five. All the family members are big dogs, and they have a dog named Aka. One day, Jinnojo eats dog stew with his best friend Noji Kinnosuke, whose sister Yaju is to be married off, and Sekiguchi Hyozo, but the dog meat he eats turns out to be Aka, and their friendship breaks down, almost leading to a showdown.
 
　　　Stubborn and vain Kinnosuke leaves a note for his parents and disappears, but after much effort, he finds a dog similar to Aka and shows up at the Okayasu family home. Jinnojo forgives him, and Yaju sheds tears of joy.　　（To be continued）
