【UoP004】いよいよUniversity of the PeopleのOrientationがスタート。

4月に入学申込をしたUniversity of the People（Uopeople）のオリエンテーションの案内がついに届きました。

As a new student at UoPeople, you are invited and highly encouraged to participate in UoPeople’s New Student Orientation program.
This program is designed to provide students with the information and resources necessary for a successful transition to their studies at UoPeople.
Students who do not participate in New Student Orientation can struggle with the pace of studies at UoPeople because they have not prepared themselves for being a UoPeople student and are not familiar with UoPeople’s online virtual environment.

It is our sincerest hope is that you take the time to complete the orientation!

オンラインでの学び方に習熟してもらうことが目的ということですね。というわけなので当然のことながらこのオリエンテーションでは単位は付与されません。

オリエンテーションの開始は5月28日の0時5分から。ちなみにUoPeopleの公式時間帯はGMT+5なので、日本人が読み替える場合は5月28日の14時05分となります（オンライン大学は課題の提出に対してシビアなので、この時間帯のことを忘れるとエライ目に遭うそうです。気を付けねば）。

ちなみに、通常の授業は1ターム9週間で行われる（1週間サイクル×8回＋最終テスト）のですが、オリエンテーションは3週間で組み立てられているそうです。
