英語日記009：親の自己肯定感

さぁ、今日も書きます。

1 Parents' confidence about themselves

As a teacher of a private school, I communicate with many children and their parents. When parents come to pick up their children after classes, I always give some feedback about children's improvement, and how to overcome their weaknesses. Some parents are glad to hear my feedbacks, others deny even when I give positive feedback. Then I found the latter are less confident about themselves in their lives

Children always take a shower of parents' words. If parents don't keep their optimistic attitude to their children, their words become less confident and children feel they are less valuable.

For children's well growing-up, parents should be confident about themselves. That is why I choose words to help parents feel more confident when I give them some feedback.

今朝がたメールを開いたら、UoPeopleのProgram Advisorからメールが来ていました。見慣れない字面のお名前だったので、調べてみたらインド系のお名前だそう（UoPeopleについてはちょいちょい記事を書いていますが、オンラインかつ超安価で学位が取れる大学（院）でして、世界中からボランティアが集まって学びを支援してくれます）。

英語は世界中の人が使う言語。だからこそ、平易な言い回しを出来るだけ選ぶことが大事なのだそう。日本国内にいるとあまり、世界に囲まれているという実感を持てずにいたのですが、今日届いたメールで突如視座が変わった感がありました。

さあ、明後日の日記でやっと10本目。楽しく続けようと思います。
