奈良の夜　Midsummer Night in Nara

先日、「燈火会」に行って来ました。行ったのは初めてのこと、かなりの人が集まるとは聞いていましたが、思っていた以上に人がいました。人混みは苦手なのですが、カメラを持って歩いていると何故だか大丈夫というのが自分でも適当だなあと思っています。

The other day, I went to the Toukae festival. It was my first time there, and I had heard that it would be quite a crowd, but there were more people than I expected. I don't like crowds, but walking around with my camera somehow feels fine, and I think that's just how I like it.

iPhoneでの撮影の楽しさを再確認しています。最近はポートレートモードをあまり使っていなかったんですが、奥の光のボケもお気に入りです。

I've rediscovered the joy of taking photos with the iPhone. I haven't used the portrait mode much recently, but I really like the bokeh of the light in the background.

以前はライトアアップは否定的でした。無理に明るくしているようで不自然かなと考えていました。
でも最近はこういうのもありかなあと思ったり。きっかけは夜間参拝です。夜の写真の練習をしたいだけだったのですが、ライトアアップされているお寺を見ているとこれもありですね。正直、綺麗です。

I used to be against lighting up temples. I thought it looked unnatural and looked too bright. But recently I've started to think that this kind of thing might be okay. It all started when I visited a temple at night. I just wanted to practice taking night photos, but when I see temples lit up, I think this is okay too. Honestly, it's beautiful.

一眼レフで撮影したものはホワイトバランスを少しいじっています。オレンジ色をうまく出せていれば良いんですが。

I adjusted the white balance a little bit for the photos I took with my SLR, as long as I could bring out the orange color well.

東大寺二月堂にて　At Todaiji Temple's Nigatsudo Hall

これは同じ日に撮ったものですが「燈火会」とは関係がないですね。二月堂からの景色はお気に入りの一つです。

This photo was taken on the same day, but it has nothing to do with the Toukae festival. The view from Nigatsudo is one of my favorites.
