　日本では男性が大きなバッグ（トートバッグ等）を持って街を歩いているのは見慣れた光景ですが、最近は海外でも男性が高級でお洒落な大きなバッグを持つのが流行っているようです。現在、男性用アクセサリー市場がアツイらしいですね。

　結局、この男性記者は７つの大きなトートバッグを試しましたが、かなり大きいためドアノブに引っ掛けてしまったり、物を入れ過ぎると重たくなってしまうため物をそこまで入れなかったりとあまり上手に使えこなせなかったようです。一番気に入ったトートバッグは一番値段も安く、ファッション業界では一番オシャレではないものでした。好みは人それぞれですよね。

　次もウォール・ストリート・ジャーナルの記事です。

　日本では、旅館またはホテルに泊まるときに大浴場（温泉）があると嬉しいですよね。さらに、部屋に個別に温泉がある場合は格別です。アメリカ人は旅行中でもホテルのジムで運動をしたがる人が結構います。最近は、ホテルの一角にジムの施設があるのではなく、部屋にエクササイズ用具を置くのが人気になってきているようです。

‘The Four Seasons is one of a number of hotel chains that have created a new room category dedicated to the can’t-miss-the-workout crowd. Four Seasons Los Angeles tested the waters with two wellness rooms in 2018. Then, in 2021, as a response to guests’ Covid-borne fears of huffing and puffing in a public gym with strangers, the hotel converted the fourth floor to 13 wellness suites.’

‘Why pay extra for all these amenities, when a fully equipped gym awaits just down the hall? Hotel execs posit that not all guests like to sweat in public. “With the initial concept, our guest research revealed that convenience and privacy are two of the main factors people consider when deciding whether to use a hotel fitness center,” said Amanda Al-Masri, global vice president of wellness at Hilton.’

　エクササイズ用具が備え付けられている部屋を希望する人は、便利であることおよびプライバシーが保護されることで気に入っているようです。しかし、気を付けないといけない点もあるそうです。エクササイズ用具を使用したことがない人および初心者等は怪我をした場合、周りに人がいなく発見が遅れるため、ホテルはエクササイズ・トレーナー等に付いてもらうことを勧めています。

　あなたは個室温泉に入る方が好きですか。それとも大浴場で入るのが好きですか。どちらも違う良さがありますよね。
