2024 Hawaii記 ~ vol.1

準備期間から語り尽くせぬほど濃厚なハワイフラ合宿を終えて昨晩帰国した。いろいろありすぎたので、いろんな角度から記録していく。
came back from Hawai hula trip last night. There are a lot I want to record, from the preparation.

Makahiki、収穫祭シーズンということでハワイ島Kona滞在のあとKumuとKumuの実家に全員泊まらせてもらった。
Photo is the double rainbow we saw from our Kumu's parents' house. It was Makahiki, harvest season, and Kumu (hula teacher, he is our teacher's kumu) let us all, 22 ppl! stay at his parents's house.

2日目、Mahaloパーティの料理をしながら何度も家の前に出て空や虹、月や星の写真を撮っていた。そのたびにお隣に住むおばあちゃんが出てきてお喋りした。夕陽を撮っているときは自分のうちの門の内側の方が高くなっていてきれいに撮れるからと門を開けて入れてくれた。彼女の名前は
Pumehana Hikihonua
彼女が説明してくれた意味は "warmness within", 内側の暖かさ
There was a Mahalo party, showing our appreciation to kumu, and kumu's family on the 2nd day. We, Japanese students cooked Tonkatsu, Soba, Shabushabu, and so on and on. I was going out from the gate to take photos of the beautiful sky, rainbow, moon and starts. Every time I went out, the auntie living next door came out and we had a chat. When I was taking photos of sunset, she opened her gate and let me come inside, her land was higher and I could see the sunset better from there. Her Hawaiian name is "Pumehana Hikihonua", she explained it means "warmness within".

じぶんの内側に暖かさを感じたらそれを表現してね、と話してくれた。
She taught me to express it when I feel warmness inside me.

出発の日の朝、荷物を車にテトリス積めしていたら、「朝の月の写真は撮ったの？」と話しかけてくれた。氣もちが忙しくて空を見てなかったけど見上げたら美しい月が控え目にそこにあった。
いつも月を意識して生きるっていいな～と感じた
On the day of departure, we were busy putting our baggage in the car. She came out and asked me "Have you taken the photo of morning moon?". My mind was too busy with the luggage and I hadn't. I looked up, and saw the beautiful morning moon.
She gave me that moment to look up the beautiful moon.

旅が始まった感じ
I feel my journey has started with this Hawaii trip.
