調べてみると『play』がしっくりくるような…
（でもこの場合はactとplay、どちらでも大丈夫そう）
13 Reasons Why is a fictional series that tackles tough, real-world issues, taking a look at sexual assault, substance abuse, suicide, and more.
『tackle』って、ラグビーとかの「タックル」のイメージが強かったけど、
英語では『to try to deal with something or someone』という意味。
☑ sexual assault：性的暴行
☑ substance abuse：薬物乱用
☑ suicide：自殺
（「自殺をする」と動詞的に使う場合は『commit suicide』）

大きな違いはないのかもしれないけど
世間的に信頼されている大人ではなくて、

という意味があるような気がする。(深読みしすぎ？)
