はじめまして。Lalun代表のゆりです。現在高校生として毎日学校に通っているごく普通の女子高生です。Lalun設立の目的は、開発途上国で生活をする生産者たちの「自立」をお手伝いすることです。

Lalunで販売されている製品はすべて「手作り」です。それらの「手作り」にはそれぞれの物語があります。例えば、刺繡入りのキーホルダー。これは小学校を卒業したらすぐに社会に出て働けるようにと設立された職業訓練学校で学ぶ小学生たちによって、ひとつひとつ丁寧に作られています。また出来上がった刺繍を商品の形にするために、社会的な自立が必要なシングルマザーたちが縫製していきます。ビーズで作られたキーホルダーは、障害者施設にいる人々により頑張って作られたものです。

こうして出来上がった製品を「公平・公正な貿易＝フェアトレード」にて、開発途上国の原料や製品を適正な価格で継続的に購入することにより、立場の弱い開発途上国の生産者や労働者の生活改善や自立に少しでも貢献できればと思っています。

この地球上には、教育を受ける機会すら与えられない子供たちがたくさんいます。世界のどこかでいつもこうした現状があるという事実について、何となく知っているというだけではなく、同世代の私達高校生にももっと自分ごとのように考えられるきっかけになればよいと思い、Lalunを設立しました。

みなさまお一人一人のご協力が、開発途上国の子供達によりよい未来を築く手助けになると信じています。

About Lalun

Hello, I am Yuri, the head of Lalun. The purpose of Lalun is to help producers living in developing countries become "self-reliant".

All products sold at Lalun are "handmade''. Each "handmade" product has its own story. For example, key chains with embroidery. These are carefully made one by one by elementary school students who study at a vocational training school established to prepare them for the workforce as soon as they graduate from elementary school. This vocational school is important for students because they can earn some money and study at the school at the same time. Normally, if they want to earn money, they have to quit school and start working. However, the vocational school that I am buying the products from opens at the time when the normal school finishes, so students can come to the vocational school after they study at the normal school. The finished embroidery is then sewn into products by single mothers who need to be economically independent. Key chains made of beads are made by people in facilities for the handicapped.

By continuously purchasing products from developing countries at fair prices through "fair trade," we hope to contribute to the improvement of the lives and economical self-reliance of producers and workers in developing countries who are in a weak position.

There are many children on this planet who are not even given the opportunity to receive an education. We established Lalun in the hope that we, high school students of the same generation, will be able to think about this fact as if it were our own, and not just as if we were somehow aware of it.
