問題：What can be done to help solve the fresh water shortages taking place around the world?

 

イントロ

Although many solution have been discussed ,
I think that turning sea water into fresh water is the best way to solve the problem.
I have some reasons to support my idea.

ボディ１

The first reason is that it will lower the sea level.
Because of the global warming, the sea level is getting higher and many islanders are afraid of the possibility that their island might sink. It might help solve the problem.
Moreover, there are many countries with limited water access in Africa because of the severe weather conditions. But if we can realize it with a little expense, it will be a big help for them.

As many people are investing on the electric cars like Tesla cars, the technologies to address the environment issues attract a lot of investors. There are a lot of things to do but I am so sure that it is going to happen in the close future.

結論

Although many solutions are being discussed, I strongly believe that this is the best way to solve the problem.

質問

・do you think that wars are more likely if fresh water runs out in some countries.

I think so.
One of the reasons why Russia is invading Ukraine is because Russia wants the natural resource that Ukraine has. And because of the climate change, there will be less water access, and many countries will begin wars in order to secure their accesses.

 
 

・You mentioned the need to increase awareness about the shortage of fresh water.
Do you think people today take water for granted?

I think that many people are unaware of the problem but not all of the people.
For example, it sounds like Japan has many water accesses but in some regions like Shikoku, they are suffering from the lack of water.
And this is my own experience, but my friend told me that his host parents in Australia force her to take shower only for five minutes. Because in Australia the lack of the water is a really serious problem. So, I think that many people are unaware but some people are being aware and working on the problem.

 

・Do you think technology may help increase our future supply of fresh water.

As I said in my speech, I am so sure that it will help, and I am hoping that Japan will be the front runner of the field. I am not familiar with that technology, but I think it might realize.
Also, we need to aware that there are many ways to do in our daily life to solve the problem so that we don’t have to be dependent on technology.

・この前にTOEICのリスニングの過去問やってて、それのおかげか英文
    いつもよりだいぶスラスラでてきたんやけどもしかして俺に必要なのは
    これか？笑
・はじめてwhat型の出題やったけど、その割にはテキトーなこと
     言えたとは思う。
・2回目も発音かなり意識してできる余裕もあったので、俺に必要なのは
    多聴ですね、うん。

・改善点　

・はじめてwhat型の出題やったから、型が定まってなくてなかなか
　苦労した。「これは方法をいくつか列挙するのが正解なんかそれともその　　
　方法を採用しようと思った理由を挙げればいいんか」に考慮時間をかなり
　取られた。結局方法そんないくつも浮かばへんから後者にしたけど。
　でも結局見られてるのはコミュニケーション能力の有無見られてるだけ
　やしそんなに気にしすぎんでいい気はする。
・仕方のない部分ではあるかもやけど、もっと語彙にバリエーション
　持たせるべきかな。
