『すると彼らは言った。
「あなた様は私たちを生かしてくださいました。
私たちは、あなた様のご好意を受けて、
ファラオの奴隷となりましょう。」』
宰相となったヨセフは、エジプトの地で飢饉に備える施策を行いました。それが、七年間の飢饉に耐えうる対策となったのです。これは、エジプトの民だけではなく、イスラエルの民をも増やし、力を蓄えていったのです。思えば、ここで生き永らえた事によって、出エジプト、カナン入国、イスラエル国建設、救い主誕生へと繋がっていくのです。
今日も、主のご計画に思いを巡らすことができますように・・・。
「So they said,
"You have saved our lives;
let us find favor in the sight of my lord,
and we will be Pharaoh's servants."」
Joseph, who became vizier, took measures to prepare for famine in the land of Egypt. This was a way to endure the seven-year famine. This increased and strengthened not only the people of Egypt, but also the people of Israel. In retrospect, the fact that they survived here led to the Exodus, the entry into Canaan, the building of the nation of Israel, and the birth of the Savior.
May we ponder the Lord's plan today....
