『愚か者を臼に入れ、
きねでこれを麦と一緒についても、
その愚かさは彼から離れない。』
「馬鹿は死ななければ治らない」と言ったりしますが、この箇所でも治らないと言っています。エレミヤは、「実に卑しい愚か者」として、次のように言いました。(エレ5:3) 「【主】よ、あなたの目は真実に届かないのでしょうか。あなたが彼らを打たれたのに、彼らは痛みもしませんでした。絶ち滅ぼそうとされたのに、彼らは懲らしめを受けることを拒みました。彼らは顔を岩よりも硬くして、立ち返ることを拒みました。」神にも人にも愛される者となりたいものです。
今日も、主の愛の中で過されますように・・・。
「Though you grind a fool in a mortar with a pestle
along with crushed grain,
Yet his foolishness will not depart from him.」
We say, “A fool cannot be cured unless he dies,” and in this passage, too, he says he cannot be cured. Jeremiah, as “a very lowly fool indeed,” said (Jeremiah 5:3) “O Lord, are not Your eyes on the truth? You have stricken them, But they have not grieved; You have consumed them, But they have refused to receive correction. They have made their faces harder than rock; They have refused to return. ”We want to be loved by both God and man.
May we spend today in the love of the Lord....
