わたしはあなたがたに新しい戒めを与えます。互いに愛し合いなさい。わたしがあなたがたを愛したように、あなたがたも互いに愛し合いなさい。
イエス様は、弟子たちに声をかけ、共に食事をし、足を洗ってやり、自分がいなくなった時までの心配もしてくださいました。そのイエス様が弟子たちに、「戒めは、互いに愛し合う」ことだというのです。今までイエス様にしていただいたことをお互いにすればいいのです。そこには、「戒め」という重さは、もはや、ないのです。
今日も、イエス様のみ言葉に心を傾けることができますように・・・。

"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.
Jesus spoke to his disciples, shared supper with them, washed their feet, took care about them after he left. Jesus said to his disciples,“The commandment is to love one another．” All we have to do with each other is to do what Jesus did. There is no longer the weight of "commandments".
May we listen to the word of Jesus with all your heart today as well.
