『王権はユダを離れず、
王笏はその足の間を離れない。
ついには彼がシロに来て、諸国の民は彼に従う。』
ヤコブは、１２人の息子たちを呼び、それぞれに言葉を託します。その中で、ユダには、今日の言葉が与えられるのです。このユダ族からダビデが誕生し、そして、救い主イエス様が生まれるのです。シロには、「平和」とか「送られたもの」という意味があります。平和をもたらす救い主のイエス様が来られることを意味しているようです。
今日も、主の平安が得られますように・・・。
「The scepter shall not depart from Judah,
Nor a lawgiver from between his feet,
Until Shiloh comes;
And to Him shall be the obedience of the people.」
Jacob calls his twelve sons and entrusts each of them with a word. Among them, Judah is given the word of the day. From this tribe of Judah, David would be born, and then our Savior Jesus. Shiloh means “peace” or “the sent one”. It seems to mean the coming of Jesus, the Savior who brings peace.
