『神がハガルの目を開かれたので、
彼女は井戸を見つけた。
それで、行って皮袋を水で満たし、
少年に飲ませた。』
ハガルの皮袋の水が無くなった時に、神は声かけをしました。すると、目の前に井戸があったのです。今まで厳然として存在しているのに気が付かないことがあります。毎日の通学の道、通勤の道、そこに咲いている小さな花、無意識に通っていると気が付きません。神様のフィルターを通して、物事を見ていくと気づかされることがあります。その意識は祈りによって醸成されるのです。
今日も、主の目が我が目となりますように・・・。
「Then God opened her eyes,
and she saw a well of water.
And she went and filled the skin with water,
and gave the lad a drink.」
When Hagar's skin bag ran out of water, God called out to her. Then there was a well right in front of him. There are things that have been strictly present until now, but we don't notice them. The path you take to school or work every day, the little flowers blooming there, you don't notice them when you pass by them unconsciously. When you look at things through God's filter, you may become aware of them. That awareness is fostered through prayer.
May the eyes of the Lord be my eyes today....
