My sophomore year in the university.
During my sophomore year in university, I decided to apply for the internal selection of studying abroad program. I managed to get the TOEFL score required for the selection.
Several months later, my name and my student number were listed on the board. I was very surprised by the result. I managed to pass 1st selection because my academic results were nice at that time and I never skipped the classes.
Some weeks later, I needed to take an interview test as 2nd selection and I made a serious mistake during the interview.
I didn't check the dress code for the interview and I went to the interview plaae with casual clothes. I just noticed this after I got to the place.
"No choice. I'll do my best and if the interviewer pointed me out, I will sincerely apologize for it."
The interview was a group interview and all of the other candidates were majoring in English. (For me, I majored in international language communication studies.)
I was really fired up about this situation.
I explained to the interviewers about my English learning and my attitude toward the course at the university. (since I took course for English teacher's license at that time.)
One of the interviewer ask a question.
"Tell us about English word you memorized."
I answered an English sentence including the word I memorized, which made them surprised.
Several weeks later, I found my name in the list and my efforts finally paid off.
There was one more thing that I needed to do to study abroad.
As one of the candidates, I needed to take the "SPECIAL LECTURE conducted in English and I had to pass it...
