Sunshine Coast Day285~289

4th October to 7th October

I had the chance to visit the Sunshine Coast during this long vacation with Tommy and his daughter. Though we got caught in traffic both on the way there and back, the long drive was surprisingly enjoyable, with time passing by before we knew it. On our first day, we dined at a Japanese restaurant that his family frequents. The food was exceptional—familiar, nostalgic, and absolutely delicious. As a bit of a binge drinker, I couldn't resist indulging in Japanese beers, and I had an amazing time chatting with his family about all sorts of topics over drinks. It was a top-notch moment, a reminder of how fortunate I am to be surrounded by such incredible people.

I was able to enjoy a few priceless days, an experience I can’t easily find back in Japan. It brought to mind the saying, "No pains, no gains." Since arriving in Australia, I’ve certainly faced moments where I had to push through difficulties. But life doesn’t consist of only pain—if you handle things well, there will always be gains, too. No one will let you down unless you let down others’ expectations. Staying humble opens doors and draws people toward you, often when you least expect it.
