Last day for Year12 Day293

Today marked the last day of classes for the Year 12 students. Time has flown by so quickly that I’m still processing it all. Even though they were smiling during the final class, I could sense a mix of sadness and satisfaction in their expressions.

Some students were whooping with joy, and it brought a wave of nostalgia over me. From week 3, their attendance at school is optional, as they focus on studying for their external exams in weeks 4 and 5.

Young people can be audacious, and while that may lead to challenges ahead, I believe it’s part of what they have to go through. After all, they’re still newcomers to society, despite being in the highest grades at school.

I just hope they won’t let a single humbling experience throw them off course from their goals. It’s part of life—what will be, will be.
