A New Opportunity for Local Guides
I have a couple of friends who share a common interest in tourism, specifically for people from overseas.
私には、海外から来る人々向けの観光に共通の関心を持つ友人が何人かいます。
The other day, one of them mentioned that Airbnb has reopened its platform to allow hosts to offer new experiences.
先日、そのうちの一人の方が、Airbnbが新しいエクスペリエンスを提供するホストを受け入れるようになったと話していました。
She has always been interested in providing unique and memorable activities to tourists through Airbnb, but during the pandemic, it stopped accepting new experience listings.
彼女はずっと Airbnb を使って観光客にユニークで思い出に残るアクティビティを提供したいと思っていましたが、パンデミック中にAirbnbは新しいエクスペリエンスの掲載を停止していました。
As international travel to Japan halted and social distancing was encouraged, even existing experiences were temporarily suspended, leaving the service unavailable for nearly four years.
日本への旅行することができなくなり、ソーシャルディスタンスが推奨されたため、既存のエクスペリエンスも一時的に中断され、サービスは約4年間利用できない状態が続きました。
After the pandemic, Airbnb resumed experiences for hosts who had already registered before COVID-19, allowing them to offer their services again after a long break.
パンデミック後、AirbnbはCOVID-19以前に登録していたホスト向けのエクスペリエンスを再開し、長い休止の後に再びサービスを提供できるようにしました。
However, they did not accept new hosts or experiences until recently.
しかし、最近まで新しいホストやエクスペリエンスの受付は行われていませんでした。
A global platform like Airbnb can offer an incredible opportunity to reach audiences worldwide.

I’d like to encourage my fellow guides, as well as new people with similar interests I'll meet in the future, to use this platform to share their services with visitors from different countries.

Luckily, I had two services approved by Airbnb right before COVID, and I've been able to offer them again since last summer.
幸運なことに、わたしはCOVIDの直前にAirbnbで2つのサービスが承認されており、昨夏から再び提供できるようになりました。
I can stay the same and keep focusing on what I have been doing, but with this recent update, I feel motivated to challenge myself with something new.

I want to create another new experience that allows guests to make the most of their stay in Himeji.
姫路での滞在を最大限に楽しんでもらえるような、また別の新しいエクスペリエンスを作りたいと思っています。
Currently, my main focus is on sake, but I’d like to add something unique to Himeji, combining it with a sake tasting experience.
現在は主に日本酒をメインとしていますが、姫路ならではの体験を加え、それを日本酒の試飲体験と組み合わせたいと考えています。
To achieve this, I’ll need to research and deepen my knowledge about Himeji’s offerings.
これを実現するためには、姫路の魅力についてもっと調査し知識を深める必要があります。
It might take some time before I can officially launch this new experience, but I hope to start within this year.
この新しいエクスペリエンスを正式に開始するまでに少し時間がかかるかもしれませんが、今年中にはスタートしたいと考えています。
I may be busier than ever, but I’ll find a way to make it happen.
これまで以上に忙しくなるかもしれませんが、実現する方法を見つけ出したいと思っています。
