German-Georgian collaboration movie.i  watched the movie "Gondola" directed by Veit Helmer. at first, i wondered how the story could progress in a movie with no dialogue, but as soon as i started watching, i was drawn in and immersed in the world of this movie, which has no dialogue but is full of rich expression, until the very end. there are some somewhat stereotypical characters (such as the spiteful stationmaster), but the acting of the two main cast members is really natural, and even though there are no lines, they do not use exaggerated expressions or gestures. instead, the relationship develops naturally, and the two characters embrace each other with a faint crush.but what's amazing was their presentation on the gondola! at first, one of them had taken the lunch of the other person and swapped it with her own.in return, another used something like a butterfly net to catch fruit from the gondola and throw it at the gondola as it passed by, or they would use the gondola as a stage, or an airplane, or decorate it, and they had all sorts of fun. in real life, i'm sure you'd be fired in an instant if you did something like that, but in this movie it seems completely normal to do this, and the villagers gradually opened up to the two of them having fun and enjoyed themselves with them. just watching them was fun, and i felt my heart free.
apparently this gondola
actually exists in south Georgea, and there is a shot of it from the highest point in the film, so it may not be recommended for people who are afraid of heights, but it is a wonderful film that makes you feel really happy, takes you back to your childhood, and makes you think that a fairy tale land really exists.
by the way, truely, there were no lines.the only words that seem to be there are "ok!" and "hey!"
