thoughts on movies 2024/10/07

today i watched the movie "CIVIL WAR". at first i thought that's strange setting carifornia(the blue state) and texas(the red state) made "WF" together. but i found there're frorida alliance and the new people army. so i understood this situation was possble with continueing historical intersectionality and social class division in the U.S.A. and i knew the civil war the director Alex Garland had made was the huge stage of his terror of society class division. and this movie was the road movie of asking what's the journalism meanig.
i was thinking about
why Alex Garland and his "english" team made the terror's stage in the
U.S.A listening 70's music between the seens. and just after that their car got into the "twilight zone", the real terror's stage.
then i realized keenly this country's the guns and military industry and agriculture. and knew it's more and more larger than Japan as land area and variety of people. that inevitably happend even if we're thinking that's impossible! in Japan.
we can't know other person's idea and feeling , as you already know. but here in Japan we can't help thinking about all people around us may surely think as we think. in the U.S.A, the thin dream could crash away in an instant. so the words "What kind of American are you?" were the most terrified i thought.
in conclusion, i thought the civil war like the movie would not happen tomorrow but could occur at any timing. and i thought journalism would not have power to move people as it had at the past.
